Our Christmas Sew-a-thon: A Celebration of Community and Creativity

This December, we brought our community together for something truly special: a Christmas Sew-a-Thon filled with sewing machines, beautiful fabrics, festive trimmings, and an abundance of holiday spirit.

Coming Together Through Creativity

It was wonderful to see so many people, mostly women, (plus one wonderful man!) join us to practice their skills, learn from one another, and simply enjoy quality time together. Sewing is such a timeless, creative, and practical craft, and watching our community connect over this shared passion reminded us why we do what we do.

Throughout this year, we've discovered something powerful: people genuinely want to gather around a common purpose. This insight is shaping our vision as we look ahead to 2026 and beyond.

The Power of Community Generosity

We've been overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity within our local community. This year alone, we've received over 100 donated sewing machines, over 1000 meters of fabric that would otherwise go unused, and countless hours from incredible volunteers willing to share their time, skills, and knowledge with others.
