We’re so excited to finally share what we’ve been stitching away behind the scenes… Remnant Revolution is opening a four-week immersive pop-up in the heart of Cirencester, and everyone is invited to come sew with us.

Remnant Revolution is a women-led enterprise tackling two urgent challenges in the UK: social inequality and environmental waste. We create beautiful, thoughtfully made homewares using remnant, surplus and deadstock fabrics that would otherwise end up in landfill. At the same time, we work with skilled local women, offering meaningful, fairly paid work and space to build confidence, creativity and community.

Every piece we make is handmade by women working from our Cirencester studio or from their homes across Swindon and Gloucestershire. Each item carries the name of the woman who made it and is produced while earning the Real Living Wage. For us, it’s never just about the product. - it’s about people, purpose and possibility.

A pop-up built around making, learning and connection

From Thursday 19 February to Friday 21 March, we’ll be taking over the Old Department Store on Cirencester’s Market Place, transforming it into a warm, creative space where visitors can shop, sew, learn and connect.

Throughout the four weeks, we’ll be running a varied programme of classes and workshops. These include inclusive community sewing sessions for all abilities, alongside specialist paid classes such as cushion cover making, upholstery, lampshade making and mending. Whether you’re a total beginner or confidently fluent in seam allowances, there’s something for you.

We’ll also have six sewing machines available for drop-in use, so you can sew, mend, create, experiment, or simply spend some time with fabric and thread (sometimes that’s therapy enough).

Shop, meet the makers, and commission something special

Visitors will be able to shop a curated selection of Remnant Revolution homeware, including our Full Frill Hosting Aprons, quilted bags, make-up bags and zip purses - all made locally by our brilliant team of women.

You’ll also be able to meet the makers, watch them work, chat with them about their craft, and even commission bespoke pieces made on site from a selection of beautiful fabrics.

Giving back to women in our community

Community impact sits at the heart of everything we do. During the pop-up, £1 from every item sold, every class booked and every metre of fabric sold will be donated to Stroud Women’s Refuge, supporting their vital work with local women and children.

Founded on the belief that beautiful materials and skilled women, deserve better than waste or invisibility, Remnant Revolution invites you to join us, sew with us, and experience first-hand how craft, community and circular designcome together.

We can’t wait to welcome you.
