Meet Tamara.

Tamara is from Ukraine and fled the war three years ago with her husband and two young boys. Her children are brilliant at maths and practice the piano every day. The first thing they bought upon arriving in the UK was a second-hand piano to continue playing.

Tamara learned to sew when she was 8 years old in school. She took classes and, as a teenager, made every dress, skirt, and blouse for herself. She also studied numerous sewing books and eagerly devoured Burda sewing journals. Eventually, she became a trained seamstress. Tamara has always had a passion for fabrics and says, “Fabric is like treasure in Ukraine; women love fashion there.”

She later graduated with a degree in economics and worked as an accountant in Ukraine while continuing to sew her personal wardrobe. At Remnant Revolution, Tamara now creates our master patterns and samples.
