Mending & Fixing: Give your clothes a longer life Do you have a favourite piece of clothing that’s worn, torn or coming apart? In this hands-on class, you will learn simple, useful techniques to repair and strengthen your clothes, helping keep them in circulation for longer. We will teach you how to: Make patches, covering holes and tears with a new piece of fabric sewn into place. Seam repairs: strengthening and restitching split or broken seams using sturdy hand stitches. Hemming: repairing hems and learning stitches that create a neat, secure finish. Bring along a piece of clothing or homeware that needs some love and learn the skills to fix it and love it for longer. No previous experience is needed, just something that needs mending and a willingness to have a go.
