If you'd like to learn how to sew a piped cushion in a warm and supportive environment then this is the session for you! Pinky and her team from Remnant Revolution join us with their many sewing machines to teach you how to pipe a cushion. Remnant Revolution transforms surplus and remnant fabrics into premium handcrafted homeware, creating flexible, fairly paid work for women while combining circular design, community skill-sharing and social impact to keep materials in use and empower women through fairly paid, meaningful employment. Through skilled workshops and creative partnerships, we give beautiful fabrics a new purpose and a new story to tell. Our team of seamstresses share their skills in our simple, relaxed sewing classes. In this 2 hour relaxed and fun session with the Remnant Revolution team, you’ll learn how to make your own cushion cover using beautiful remnant and surplus linens. Learn how to create frills, master piping and add a neat zip, then take home your finished cushion, a useful piece made by you, while learning new skills or honing ones you already have. We provide all the kit and machines you will need plus a cushion pad! Suitable for all (aged 12+) Very basic sewing experience helpful, but by no means essential! As with all Larkswold workshops, you'll be treated to plenty of freshly brewed teas & coffees, homemade cakes and a glass of bubbly to celebrate your achievements!
