Roya
Roya came to the UK with her family after fleeing her home in Afghanistan.

 

Roya has nine children who are all charming and speak immaculate English. She is constantly smiling keeps us all entertained with her good vibes extremely positive energy and perspective on life.

Roya spends a lot of time cooking for her big family and recently told me she cooks over 30kilos of meet a month for her children and husband! She learnt to sew as a child and until coming to the UK had only used a sewing machine with a handle, so it has been fun showing her the joys of an electric sewing machine with power when the foot is firmly on the ground!

Roya is extremely accomplished at embroidery, creating initials and beautiful patterns on pillow cases and napkins which she makes for her friends and family.
